Directions to Conference Venue

From Suvarhabhumi International Airport to Ambassador Hotel.

There are 2 ways to get to the Ambassador Hotel from Suvarnabhumi Airport:

  1. Metered taxi. Proceed to Level 1 and go outside (Note: the stands may be moving to Level 2, so watch for the signs to “Public Taxis”). You will see signs directing you to “Public Taxis”. Tell the agent you want to go to the Ambassador Hotel, Sukhumvit 11. A taxi driver will take you to the hotel. You will receive a receipt with the taxi number in case you have any complaints. You must pay the fare, any expressway tolls and a 50 baht (approximately US$1.60) airport surcharge. These taxis are strictly monitored and safe. The trip will take between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
  2. Train. Follow the signs to the Express train (Rail Link) to Bangkok. Choose the Express train to Makkasan Station. The trip takes 15 minutes and costs 150 baht ($US5). From Makkasan Station, take a metered taxi to the Ambassador Hotel, about a 5-10 minute trip. It will cost about 35-45 baht (US$1.00-1.50). http://www.bangkokairporttrain.com/

From Don Meuang International Airport:

Wait in the queue for “Public Taxis”, and tell the agent you want to go to the Ambassador hotel on Sukhumvit 11. The taxis are metered and strictly monitored and safe. You will receive a receipt with the taxi number in case you have any complaints. The passenger pays the fare, any tolls, and a 50 baht ($US 1.60) airport taxi charge. It will take about 30 minutes to get to the hotel (possibly longer, depending on traffic).

From the Northern bus terminal (Mo Chit):

Take a taxi (agents outside the terminal to help you) to the Ambassador Hotel on Sukhumvit 11. The taxis are metered and strictly monitored and safe. You will receive a receipt with the taxi number in case you have any complaints. The passenger pays the fare and any tolls.

From the Eastern bus terminal (Ekamai):

  1. By taxi to the Ambassador Hotel, which is on the same road as the bus station (Sukhumvit) will take from 10-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
  2. By BTS “Sky Train”: The Ekamai BTS station is next to the bus station. Take the escalator up and buy a ticket to “Nana Station” (if staying at the Ambassador Hotel) from the ticket vending machine. The cost is minimal, and the trip will take approximately 10 minutes. You will have to walk down the steps at Nana station, then go to “Soi (street) 11”. The Ambassador Hotel is about 100 meters up the street on the right.
